The Golden Rule

Fight The Good Fight

I have one guiding belief, that I want to govern like I would like to be governed. This means I believe that representatives should represent the people regardless of their personal views on subjects unless they feel the need to take a stand. I will use common sense to solve problems and leave any big controversy up to the citizens to decide by public vote. This idea of electing people and hoping behind closed doors they do what you want doesn't work.

What does that look like? A politician saying their wrong is a rare sight, but for me, it would include running a public vote, if the majority disagrees I will say I am wrong, then make a better policy that includes the stated concerns of voters. This is how real communities solve problems, this is how authentic non-corrupt politics work.
